MAYOR BLOOMBERG QUITS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY.
WHAT DOES THAT MEAN ?

NO ONE COMMENTED . SO i will say that Mayor Bloomberg should read the A.F.A. blogpost
and help advertize it.......... so millions of LOST INDEPENDENTS ............WHO DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO, WHERE TO GO etc.... finally find a suitable HOME.

I was wondering what you thought about Unity08? Actor Sam Waterston has been in the media lately talking about Unity08. This group is advancing the idea of having the president and vice president be from different parties.
I actually like this idea. While it isn't really advancing the independent candidate concept, it would promote working together and compromise. Though sometimes if you start with a great idea and add some compromise to it, it becomes far less of a great idea.
I'm really not sure how far an independent candidate could go...I remember John Anderson in 1980 and two runs by Ross Perot. I really like Perot's style of using charts and graphs and 30 minute "commercials" to explain his positions.

I FIND THAT IT IS NOT PEOPLE (CANDIDATES) WHO CAN REALLY FIX THINGS, BUT I PREFER TO PRESENT SPECIFIC IDEA OR IDEA THAT CAN MAKE GOVERNMENT WORK FOR ALL IN A FAIR FASHION.
THIS IS WHY

THIS CAN BE THE TRUE INDEPENDENT MOVEMENT.

well-meaning but not meaningful.
The idea of mixing the ticket per se will not solve anything.
FOR ME PLANS ARE IMPORTANT.not persons.
Actually, I am somewhat suspicious.

Senator Biden mentionned the other day in the You tube debate that he would choose Chuck HAGEL as VP.
Now suppose people like this ticket.............would that be enough?
No , of course not .
we want healthcare
we want infrastructure fixing
we want success in Iraq
we want social security
etc..etc...
So , you see, PEOPLE HAVE TO EXPRESS THEIR NEEDS AND HEAR WHAT THE PLANS THESE 2 CANDIDATES HAVE ON THE ABOVE ISSUE.
SO, EVERYTHING DEPENDS ON THE PEOPLE BEING SMART ENOUGH TO REALIZE THAT WE ELECT THEM TO HELP US AND SOLVE PROBLEMS.
