The PROGRESSIVE concensus

CONSERVATISM is the opposite of LIBERALISM

but what is the opposite of PROGRESSIVISM ?

the reason I am asking this is that Liberalism is really NOT RELEVANT here any longer .

the movement that is rising after so many years of CONSERVATISM is the PROGRESSIVE movement.

so again what WORD would be the opposite of PROGRESSIVISM ??

the only one that comes to mind is REGRESSIVISM ?
is there such a word.???
there is of course this PHENOMENON of regressiveness.......



The difference between LIBERAL and PROGRESSIVE


while all liberals are progressive, all progressive are not completely liberal.

Liberalism is an attitude that permeates all aspects of life.......political , cultural , personal

BUT when we use the word Progressive , it APPLIES to the POLITICAL arena , and specifically to the ROLE OF GOVERNMENT in society.

the reason I say this is that I have lived a conservative life ........... in dress , in speech , in driving , shopping and spending , behaving etc ....but when it comes to the ROLE of GOV .......and SCIENCE and LEARNING the liberals and progressives
