OK , the idea of having a Gov issued Photo ID for Voting is a fair one.
BUT what we have heard about the 37 States with Republican Governors requiring different papers and making it all the more difficult is FAR FROM FAIR !
So , It annoyed me, and I began to think about how to goabout making sure every voter would have a Photo ID issued by GOV.
SO, let me tell you how to think about this. WE are A NATION and we have NATIONAL ELECTIONs on the FEDERAL LEVEL. DO we NOT ???
Then it is the ROLE /DUTY of the FEDERAL GOVernment to DECIDE what it wants and How it wants to go about it.
It is NOT the role of Each STATE Governor to DICTATE what they want or need.
SO the ATTORNEY General has to declare the rules.
I suggest the following for ease of logistics.
EACH and every POLLING stations should be equiped with the COMPUTER and the CAMERA attached to it that can take a picture like they have In SAMS CLUB
The voter who does not already have some kind of acceptable ID should bring an addressed envelope from a utility company , their social security card and/or Medicare or Food stamp or even a regular credit card with their name on it .
The official could then take a picture of them and immediatly issue the card as Sams Club does.
A fee of 5 dollars could be charged and it should be ANNOUNCED that a HEAVY PENALTY will be effective if anyone cheats or misrepresents.
This could be done by other places like Public Libraries .
I have presented this idea in an Email to our very good REP LOUISE SLAUGHTER in Rochester < NY and have also contacted the AG office by phone and asked them to contact me.
The FEDERAL Government should decide about this, and NOT the STATES .
ALSO the Federal Government could use the POST OFFICES for this purpose.

Fareed ZaKaria today talked about Leadership and how people judge the different PRESIDENTS leadership.
As he was speaking, I was reminded of my own view held for several years now, after hearing so many Americans PINING for a LEADER.
Indeed, every time I hear that line, I wonder if my fellow citizens realize what they are yearning for . Because WISHING for a LEADER, can only mean you want to be a FOLLOWER.
NO , I certainly do not wish for a Leader.
But after speaking about leadership , Fareed had an interview with the Historian David McCULLOUGH .
Fareed asked him What do you think of President Obama ?
Mr McCULLOUGH replied : " I ADMIRE HIM VERY MUCH .......etc
My heart goes out to him etc .....
WE ALL OUGHT TO HELP HIM ......
THAT MADE MY DAY
Thanks to Fareed and Mr McCULLOUGH that was a great Sunday and Christmas Day.
It will carry me to Nov 2012 Election day.

My GREAT sadness

These past several weeks , I have heard about the Penn Univ Football team sexual attacks on young boys , and today about the FAMU HAZING, and it is with great sadness that I must say .................I AM SICK of hearing about these awful events, and I am beginning to think that this Society is also SICK.
WHAT a ridiculous idea to be hazed in order to belong to a group ? !
Have we lost all sense of human decency ? why are these practices not Criticized , or even SHAMED. ?
I try to say, I should not be judgemental . Who am I to judge ? This is a free country !
etc etc.
Nevertheless, Should I not be free to express dislike and HORROR even at hearing of tese practices.?
Sure I can . This is about freedom of Expression and Speech.
SO
I am going to say how I hate some of the things I saw in Movies .
Although I am ashamed to even mention them in this PUBLIC Journal of mine . There was a particular scene I saw in a movie called " ... .... ... .... "
and the other is a very commonly heard act .............but NO , I just cannot bring myself to write it.

CITIZENS UNITED and ME

I do believe that people should have the right to spend money on a cause or candidate , on a condition
I also believe that TRANSPARENCY is ESSENTIAL and all such contributions should be declared and well displayed with names.
However , I also believe that Corporations should NOT have this right .
1- Because Corporations have to answer to thousands of shareholders and also SHOULD ask them explicitly if they agree.
2- Because Millions of people who use their products have a LEGITIMATE right NOT to want any contributions to be made , simply because the COSTS of contributions is charged to the customers anyway. I am sure the vast majority would prefer NOT to have to pay higher price for those products .
3- Last but not least , my reason is based on the CONSTITUTION .
First amendment constitutional Right is given to each Citizen. That is each PERSON has this right of FREE SPEECH .
But is MONEY FREE SPEECH ? i would not put it this way, but as i said above , i said that it seems OK for a citizen to spend $$$$$ on a cause or a candidate. ON CONDITION that it is made absolutely transparently. as to the amount and the Donor.
NOW finally , the equating of MONEY with Free Speech is really controversial . Millions do not think it could be equal . And on a DEMOCRATIC level , it is not fair to equate the 2.
However , on the level of FREEDOM, it is hard for me to say that a Citizen is NOT allowed to spend his/her money on whatever they feel like .
SUPREME COURT argument equates Corporations with People.
That is not acceptable to millions of Americans , and even I , although I can allow a citizen to use their Money for Political contribution on condition of transparency, that is NOT WHAT the SUPREME COURT has done.
The Supreme court has done CARTE BLANCHE to Corporations PLUS SECRECY.
THAT is a total farce. Very UN-democratic. THAT should NOT STAND.
I will keep my last POINT which is also based on the Constitution .

WHY on GOD's green Earth would I or We the People do that , which you so undiscriminately suggest in your book by the same title ??????????????????
Are we the American People s0 blinded by our anger with the Institution of Congress that we would PUNISH Some who actually deserve RE-Election with those Scoundrels who do not deserve another term ???
i am going to prepare a list, of those who DESERVE another Term , like President Obama and those in Congress like Nancy Pelosi , who did NOT VOTE for the WAR in IRAQ and also Rep LOUISE SLAUGHTER of Rochester NY.
There are some 100 plus others but I do not now know their name , so ..................i will complile them later hopefully soon.

SOCIALISM ? RIGHT or LEFT Socialism

As I described before , a Socialist is any citizen who sees problems in society , and would like to do something about it is REALLY a SOCIALIST .
I could say a POTENTIAL Socialist ie until that citizen , really realizes that .
So, all those Revolutionary GOPers who want to change things and take America back are whether they like it or not.....................Socialists.
BUT there are several kind of Socialists.
Everybody thinks that SOCIALIST is LEFTist ..................that is what has allowed the other side, to define Obama as Socialist.
HOWEVER, according to my definition, being a Socialist has nothing to do with where you are on the political spectrum Right of LEFT or Center or Far Right .
The SOLUTIONS they talk about will define what kind of Socialists they are.
THIS is exactly what WE THE PEOPLE should start thinking about.
the RIGHT wing SOCIALISTs denigrate the Democrats as the Party of BIG Government.
BUT they will not tell you that THEY ARE the party of VERY BIG GOVERNMENT .
That is the Party that will tell you that you cannot have Abortion , while at the same time they claim they are the Party of FREEDOM.
and i do not have time to get into other examples , but I hope you get the idea.
