well , I finally remembered the title of the post .
It was NOBLESSE OBLIGE.
what does noblesse oblige mean ? I would define it as follows........Nobility obliges (you to act in a certain fashion , worthy of that title .
A GOOD EXAMPLE OF THAT NOBILITY OF ACTION (noble act) is the way GM and FORD and all the other great US companies and UNIVERSITIES have been offering HEALTH CARE to their employees for so many years, even though it has become an unbearable burden for them, so much that both GM and FORD costs for healthcare has bankrupted them. while TOYOTA's employees health care is paid by the GOVERNMENT.
So, apparently the NOBLE Japanese Government acted according to NOBLESSE OBLIGE.
BUT , here UNCLE SAM forgets Noblesse Oblige, and behaves like Uncle Scrooge.
It seems it is time the great employers pass this baton to the GOV

Less than a year from today, we the People will know who the next President will be.
But before we go there , please allow me to propose we do what is absolutely necessary in a Democracy.
The President's OATH of OFFICE is as follows............
1- to PROTECT the CONSTITUTION
2- to PROTECT the NATION against all Enemies foreign and domestic......
SO , From now to Election day 08, let us make it crystal clear to all the Candidates , Democratic and Republican that they should know that the 2 domestic enemies of all Americans are
1- IGNORANCE ......you must provide education.
2- DISEASE...........you must provide Health CARE
NO KIDDING my fellow Americans.

THE AGENDA FOR INDEPENDENTS

As mentionned before and the previous posts, the Independents are powerless. No one knows what they stand for. I do not think the Independents really know it themselves.
All they know is that they are fed up with the 2 major parties.
This is why you have UNITY 08 the thought is simplistic . Let us mix the ticket one Republican and the other Democrat. et voila !???
What would they do? what is their solution to HEALTH CARE , EDUCATION , SOCIAL SECURITY, INFRASTRUCTURE, ENERGY ?????

Yesterday, I noticed that both PUTIN and AHMADINEJAD of Iran were called LEADERS.
The word LEADER really infuriates me. Why ? because Leader presumes or implies that the rest of us are or should be followers.
I am an INDEPENDENT , and I could not follow anyone. I might only STAND WITH someone I really agree with. I hope that you as INDEPENDENT think likewise.
TRUE INDEPENDENTS SHOULD NEVER BE FOLLOWERS. AND SHOULD LOATHE THE WORD LEADER, as anti-democratic.

what is an IDEAL GOVERNMENT ?part 2

on March 21, 2007 , I posted a simple question : WHAT IS AN IDEAL GOVERNMENT ?
There was just one comment posted may 27,07 who has a blog realdemocracy.wordpress.com titled " REAL DEMOCRACY converting the Oligarchic Republic of the United States into a Direct Democracy."
and a group http//groups.yahoo.com/group/real-democracy.
I probably think that a lot of what is said may be true, however I have never been able to agree with that approach. WHY ?
Because, I am not so much concerned about how we establish a government or elect representatives, but my concern is simply OK, by whatever method we elect the representatives, WHAT IS IT THAT I WANT FROM THEM ? IN OTHER WORDS WHAT IS THE ROLE OF OUR GOVERNMENT ???
WHAT IS IT THAT WE EXPECT FOR THEM TO DO IN ORDER TO CREATE A SYSTEM THAT DOES PROVIDE SOME SORT OF EQUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL THE CITIZENS , AS A DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY SHOULD BE ???
LET ME FURTHER SPECIFY THAT IF I EXPECT THE GOVERNMENT TO HELP ME, I SHOULD ALSO HAVE THE DUTY TO RETURN THE FAVOR.
EVERY RIGHT IS ACCOMPANIED BY A DUTY. in this sense , there is no free lunch.
BUT the EQUAL OPPORTUNITY IS BEING GIVEN TO ALL..............then it is up to the citizen to make the best of it.

I accidentally turned on the TV and there she was sitting with Danny Deutch of THE BIG IDEA.(oct.8,07)
I did not tune in from the beginning, but on her saying that :
"JEWS HAVE TO BE PERFECTED.."

ONLY TO PROTECT the people..............then we must ask the FEDS to protect us not only from foreign enemies but aslo

so let me state right here that WE THE PEOPLE should demand our governemnt to really honor their duty and give us TRIPLE PROTECTION.

TASERING A STUDENT ?

IT IS IMPOSSIBLE for me NOT TO BE SAD AT WHAT HAPPENED at the Florida university yesterday.
This is a shameful day for our democracy.
This student was not armed or drunk or really obscene . 4 police officers had to taser him?
This can only be the reaction of fascist mindset.
I believe we must right away limit the use of taser on people who are not armed.
THIS CAN NO LONGER BE TOLERATED.

I was truly horrified at the stupidity and meanness of the AD calling General Patraeus ...
B etray US(a traitor) . GENERAL PATRAEUS was MAGNANIMOUS , he could not accept failure so he decided to do his best. I personally believe the Military Surge was not the best way forward, and had a better idea. ALAS , NO ONE ASKED MY ADVICE, although I did offer help.
I hope that all those people who contribute to this organization, will stop contributing and ask for accountability .
People work hard for their money, and they have a right to expect any organization or Candidate to whom they have contributed to NOT WASTE THEIR CONTRIBUTIONS ON STUPID ADS.
THIS IS A WARNING TO MOVEON.ORG, who did do good things in the past, NOT TO BECOME ARROGANT.............and overplay their hand as the Republican Party did , and lost in 2oo6

I have a feeling that America does not like to have more than 2 major parties.
So, what is left for the INDEPENDENTS is to vote for the lesser of the 2 Evils, or the better of the 2 major parties available.
My particular idea is one that all Americans can truly embrace wholeheartedly.................. Simply because I do not change any present political process, but simply SUPERIMPOSE ONE IDEA on top of whatever is available .............in ORDER TO MAKE THE AMERICAN IDEAL OF OPPORTUNITY FOR ALL ...........materialize.
THIS REALLY WILL MEAN SOCIAL JUSTICE IN THE BEST FASHION POSSIBLE.

The DEMOCRATIC attitude

It has been said........that ATTITUDE is a small word that can make a big difference !
THIS IS VERY TRUE. i will claim here, that we cannot have a true democracy, without a ...............democratic attitude.
In America, the closest we have come to this truth, is probably the present administration's anti-democratic attitude before the 2006 election.
Perhaps the people realized this and decided to give the other party a chance.
Now, it is incumbent upon the present democratic majority in congress to really maintain that DEMOCRATIC ATTITUDE.
NOT ONLY THE ELECTED OFFICIALS, BUT, WE THE PEOPLE MUST also ACQUIRE AND MAINTAIN a democratic attitude.
the opposite of the democratic attitude ....is of course a DICTATORIAL attitude.
I have noticed this dictatorial attitude in a certain group of people, whom I sympathize with, but who act a bit dictatorially...................in their demands.
before the iraq war, millions of people demonstrated for peace and not war.
then the administration acted dictatorially , and rushed to war, disregarding all other opinions.
But now that there is a mess in Iraq , and we have a moral duty to fix what we broke..................some groups are acting like dictators and telling the congress they must end the war............HOW CAN WE EXPECT THEM TO DO SO WHEN WE HAVE NOT VOTED ENOUGH TO GIVE THE DEMOCRATS A CLEAR VETO-PROOF MAJORITY.???
SO, LET US KEEP A DEMOCRATIC ATTITUDE ......and realize that we have to VOTE IN enough representatives who are Pro-Peace for congress and the senate so that they can vote to OVERRIDE PRESIDENTIAL VETOES.
A DEMOCRATIC ATTITUDE IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY FOR ......AFA

This is the attitude that I bring to ALLIANCE FOR AMERICA.
indeed, I would not have even come up that IDEA , if I did not wish for ALL to WIN.
So, the pre-requisites for joining in this Alliance are :
1- your dissatisfaction with the present political parties , Whether PARTIAL or TOTAL
2- the yearning for a WIN/WIN solution
ie. a political system that provides this for all it citizens.
in other words.............a truly DEMOCRATIC system

indeed, I would not have even come up that IDEA , if I did not wish for ALL to WIN.
So, the pre-requisites for joining in this Alliance are :
1- your dissatisfaction with the present political parties , Whether PARTIAL or TOTAL
2- the yearning for a WIN/WIN solution
ie. a political system that provides this for all it citizens.

Today, we witnessed the birth of a new phenomenon........CITIZEN ADS
PHIL DE VELLIS used this term by coming out , ie disclosing that he was the one who created that ad Parkridge47 about Hillary Clinton.
The idea of Democracy , or the belief in Democracy is the reason for this new political creativity.
It is a welcome one.
However , it would be wonderful if those CITIZEN ADS would concentrate on DEMOCRATIC ISSUES necessary for the well being of the citizenry, and not so much on bashing candidates.
People should concentrate on what the candidates should do for the people .........government of the people for the people.
If these citizen ads concentrate alone on bashing or promoting candidates , it will divert attention from the most important issues like Health care and education reform, and a good reform of social security that will mend the system and not abolish it with privatization ideas.

DEMOCRATIC GOVERNMENT part 1

I often hear the President and other POLITICIANS say that the most important duty of government is to PROTECT THE PEOPLE.
SURE , this is the truth, but NOT THE WHOLE TRUTH !!!
HOWEVER ,
A GOVERNMENT THAT WOULD LIKE TO BE CALLED DEMOCRATIC HAS CERTAIN DUTIES TOWARDS ITS CITIZENS.
1-EQUAL OPPORTUNIES IN EDUCATION IS ESSENTIAL PUBLIC SYSTEM
2-EQUAL OPPORTUNITY TO PARTICIPATE IN POLITICAL ACTIVITIES AND ELECTIONS.
3- BECAUSE IT COLLECTS TAXES, IT SHOULD ALSO PROVIDE HEALTH CARE. health care is a basic human need , and a basic human right. It is not the duty of employers to pay for health care for their employees..........it is the government's duty to figure out a basic health care for all.

Democracy or Democratic society ?

I CAN NOW DECLARE THAT I DO BELIEVE IN A "DEMOCRATIC SOCIETY".
DEMOCRATIC , IS AN ADJECTIVE .........A QUALITY that deserves respect, because it itself teaches Respect for other people's points of views.
It is even impossible to have a Democratic society , in a land where people have not acquired this quality, this desirable attitude.
A democratic government provides the following as part of the democratic process.
1- Freedom of Speech
2- Freedom of the Press
3- Freedom of religion
4- freedom of association

I have learned to develop a healthy skeptical attitude toward any political entity. whether it be a politician, a political party or group or simply a political person ie the average voter.
I do not see any reason to convince me that ANY of the above could be INFALLIBLE or correct all the time or even 100% correct sometime.
In short , I do not think that when a Poll declares that 60% of the people think we are losing the Iraq war , it is necessarily right. People can be wrong , even 60% of them.
Likewise , when the popularity of the President is low or high, it does not mean to me that he is 100% wrong or right . Even an unpopular President can be right sometimes on some issue.
The duty of Citizens is to think critically at all times and research the issue at hand. I do not think that the majority of people have the time or interest to do so, therefore their opinion may not be 100% RELIABLE.....OR TRUSTWORTHY.
"PEOPLE KNOW BEST " "fATHERS KNOW BEST" "THE PRESIDENT KNOWS BEST"
SORRY, NO ONE SHOULD BUY THAT 1OO% OF THE TIME.!!!

It has been said that America is an IDEA.............what kind of Idea could that be ?
I believe that IDEA was nothing but the WISH to create the best system of government in the world.
That WISH later became possible when the Founding Fathers acquired the WILL to do so.
It started with the Declaration of Independence Dec.4 1776 and then the Constitution. March 4 1789
Later , The Bill of Rights and other amendments happened as needed.
This Idea to create the best system of government implies that according to changes or problems that time may bring, amendments or improvements to the system should be considered.
As you may have heard , certain people want to ammend the constitution to define marriage as a union between man and woman..............others want amendments to make the system become more democratic.
In Alliance for America, I do not concern myself with these matters.
What I am concerned with is exclusively the Prestige of America and how we can come closer to that IDEA which is the IDEAL GOVERNMENT.
And all that is required of others is to be in agreement with the above goal. Also perhaps the realization that the political parties available to we , the people are not perfectly satisfactory.

I received a comment , and realized that perhaps I had not stated my line properly, so I will correct it in this fashion :

The GREEKS invented DEMOCRACY.
DEMO = people CRACY= power so, DEMOCRACY = PEOPLE'S POWER
BUT PEOPLE'S POWER TO DO WHAT ? obviously to do many many things . Some may be good , others bad.
THAT IS THE QUESTION : what will the people do, or how will they use that power ?
Those who think DEMOCRACY will lead to MOB RULE, obviously do not think well of people.
Those who tend to trust more, think Democracy is the best system invented by mankind.
SO, I WOULD LIKE TO STATE SIMPLY THAT : IF GOOD PEOPLE GET POWER, THEN THE OUTCOME MAY BE GOOD.

On US DEMOCRACY

This morning at 9:17 am a lady called C-Span journal and among the words she uttered were the following :
" America is not a Democracy,, it is a Republic ............We are not a Democracy, Mob Rule. "
The last 2 words were pronounced as if she equated Democracy with mob rule.
Unfortunately, I did not see which town she was calling from. But the above quotes are exactly her words.
Of course I had heard the same words before too. But today I want to write it down here, so I can ask a question.
Is Democracy really MOB RULE ??

Happy New Year, my fellow Citizens .
