I post this here , because on Huffington Post in the past week or so, I have been warning people that all the commenting that we engage in DIFFUSES our Power. It is .............WORDs NOT ACTS .
It looks as if we active, but we do NOT ACCOMPLISH anything really !!

that is why I loved that saying. It was by author, art critic, and social reformer named JOHN RUSKIN

and a friend of mine sent that line to me tonight via Email. I am very grateful to him.
It proves that my worrying was correct.
Our Commenting seems like activity, and concern.................but it ends up as ineffective as COMPLACENCY.
Because what we need is ACTIONS not WORDS....anymore.

So let us hope we can Mobilize and Organize to ACT and WIN

This morning C-span journal had a discussion titled " ENDing Washington GRIDLOCK "
with 2 of the founders of the No-Labels group.
David Frum and another Gentleman I had not seen before by the name of William Galston.

I had a better impression of them, specially Mr Galston, who spoke of REFORM of Political SYSTEM , when a caller talked about that .

He spoke of their agenda as follows a citizen's generated agenda
1- STOP demonizing others
2-...........................................?
3- Solve problems mode
4- put Country FIRST.............

This last item was same as Alliance for America started 2004 as a DREAM and here as a blog on Dec 2006.

so WHY should they not come to me for advice ??

You have , i am sure , heard many Politicians say " The American People " ...........blah etc

Perhaps fewer people have NOTICED that it is usually the GOPers who use that term to prove their own positions.............for exemple remember how many always used to say that The American People Do NOT LIKE this Health Care Obamacare..................etc

and Now after the Midterm Elections of Nov 2, they keep saying that The AMERICAN PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN ..........etc etc

WELL, I BEG TO DIFFER ...................what really happened on NOV 2. is that
The AMERICAN VOTERs have spoken their preference.

Since MILLIONS of AMERICAN people who were eligible to Vote DID NOT VOTE on Nov 2 !!!

So please, whenever you hear a GOPer say THE AMERICAN PEOPLE want this or that..............make them correct their phrase by saying the american VOTERS have.....etc etc

SO , NOW let us look at those voters ...the number of Voters who voted Nov 2, 2o1o

I have found a number on wikileaks about the SENATE.

here they are : SENATE VOTES

for GOP votes 37,057,491

for DEM votes 33,883,538

the difference is ................... 3,173,953 voters made the difference !!


i do not know the exact numbers, but I have heard that among the 19-29 year old who had suppoted Obama by 23 million ........this time only 14 million came out to vote

so we could say that 9 million sat this midterm out.................and if only HALF of these realized what horrible change would occur the DEMS would still have kept their Majority.

The POLITICAL SIN of this election was that citizens who may have been upset about OBAMA had the stupidity to ...........TAKE IT OUT on the DEMOCRATS in 111th Congess who have worked SO HARD to pass HEALTH CARE and WALL STREET REFORM STUDENT LOAN and many other good bills (0ver 300) that were passed in the House by PELOSI ................but were stuck in the ABOMINABLE SENATE .

WELL, I certainly was glad this morning to hear NPR 's Diane Rheem bring 4 persons to discuss this so called new movement of NO-LABELS. ( 10 to 11 am )

Obviously, E.J DIONNE critique was right on.
and an email sender by the name of LISA who really expressed what i have always felt about this idea of Moderation.............which she said NO one marches to protest for Mediocrity
Indeed , this idea of Centrism is truly over rated ..............if you think of Center on a HORIZZONTAL Line

Besides the most dangerous thing is this idea of OPEN primary
LOOK what the " citizens United ".............................and the $$$$$
so from now on ONLY totally unkown candidate supported by the contribution of unkown source will win and you can bet that only those that match the GOP philosophy will win
JUST as the TEAbag..ers have been really the vehicle to make GOP win.

I started Alliance for America in order to unite people around the idea that we should ally with other citizens for the sake of America.

I think it was Dec 1 , of 2004 that I bought from Go Daddy ALLIANCEFORAMERICA.

Then when I heard about Blogger.com and due to the importance of the state of our politics , I started this blog here.

SO , my first entry was on Dec 13, 2006..................In an Open letter to my fellow citizens , I wrote about my dream to create an ALLIANCE for ....AMERICA

SO , when I heard NO LABELs coming into existence just 2 days ago............just as the UNITY thing began in 2008, I was not really impressed.

I know that my intention is better than theirs. But of course , I am not famous and they are.
And if you do have time to have a look at the post of 12/14/2006 there are 2 comments which have been made by malee and yasmine

Have a look at them ...................Malee talks about making the American GOV the best in the world as the goal of ALLIANCE for AMERICA !!

This morning I was very happy to hear that Diane RHEEM 's subject of discussion was the NO LABELS group

Can you imagine ? this group as one emailer wrote by the name of Lisa WHERE is the GRASS ROOTS..............some big shots decide to do something and obviously you can always fool l Million people............and she wrote NO ONE marches to Protest FOR MEDIOCRITY .!!!!
ALSO the best evaluation of this so- called movement was made by E J DIONNE of Brookings

Mr Buffett says that TRICKLE DOWN theory has FAILED.

This is really like a COUP against the insistance of the Republican Party who ever since Reagan have insited that the trickle down Economics is the best way to go.

All these 30 years the Republican Party has been helping the rich in the hope that it would trickel down.
Well, for sure any theory works for a while ..........until it stops working .
In 1996 , I arrived at a realization that the trickle down works till it reaches the S------o Effect.

Also, MILLIONAIRES (patriotic ones ) have said TAX US ! that is real PATRIOTISM

Everytime i hear a Politician use the term THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.........................etc

I truly become FURIOUS. How dare they speak for the American people.

This term is usually used most by GOPers. I have never heard the DEMS use it in an offensive and generalized fashion.

After the NOV 2 election, when the GOPers said THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WANT US to repeal H C .....etc etc............

I REACTED by realizing that the CORRECT term to use...............is to say The Majority of VOTERS want us to.....

BECAUSE that is about the VOTERS and NOT the PEOPLE..............when only 45 million people went to vote. in the Mid term election.
The majority of PEOPLE have NOT spoken because they have stayed home and NOT voted.
Actually a MINORITY of people came out to VOTE !!!


So i say to the GOPers................HOW DARE YOU SPEAK for the American People ????

I have always wondered why people reply to Poll question about the direction of the country .

Is it going in the right direction or wrong direction ??

well, I would answer it according how I felt about the Economy. for example if the Economy is good i would say it is going in the right direction.............

Also if we have wars that are not going really well....................i would say it is going in the wrong direction.

ALSO, if the climate of the country has been set by the HATRED and ANGER of the Teabag..ers.............that poisonous atmosphere alone would make me say it is going in the Wrong direction.

so...............No wonder the majority say it is going in the wrong direction .....BUT

THAT " going in the WRONG direction "was also during Bush's reign

BUT let us focus on what has happened since the country almost fell into a DEPRESSION.
1- that depression was prevented.
2- The Market that fell to its lowest on March 2009.............has come up 60 %
3- The corporations are FLUSH with Cash
4- for some 7 months even some jobs have been created

SO who can HONESTLY say the country is going in the WRONG Direction ???
answer :
Only angry and hateful people can , because they are blinded by their hatred .

However and intelligent and fair person can distinguish between personal economy (micro economics ) and Nation's economy (MACRO economics )and would SEE the UPWARD TREND enumerated above.

so if someone tells me the country is not going in the Right Direction.........................MY answer would be
SURE, it is because it is going in the CORRECT Direction.!!!! after 32 years of going in the Right direction, it is finally going back toward the CENTER.

But unfortunately, the TEAbag..ers have taken it right back to the Far right.

If it is true that in 2008 23 million 18 to 29 yrs old voted for Obama but
in 2010 only 9 Million " " came out to vote

the difference a staggering 14 million less voters


The total of people voting for the GOP was only 5 million more than the votes for DEMs
so if only half of them had come out ..................we would have won by 2 million more votes (assuming of course they would have voted for DEMS)

This in plain English means that because 14 million people less came out to vote .................the Dems lost their majority.


Now let us have a look at the TOTAL numbers of people who came out to VOTE

if it was 45 million ?? for the mid-term election.
that is probably less than half the elligible electorate..................so the So-called HUGE Victory of the GOP is not so meaningful...........!

Alliance for America really would like to invite Progressives to form a PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT by forming a COALITION among the different strains of Progressivism.

I have been wanting this by using the word ALLIANCE for (the sake of )America.
Since I saw America in CRISIS .

Since there is an OBVIOUS effort by the Media to AGGRANDIZE the Teabaggers who are a bunch of people who have been able to COalece around the DEBT-Deficit- TAX issues.
and thus making themselves motivated enough to have the MEDIA design them as TEA PARTY MOVEMENT; .................

Then is it not incumbent upon the PROGRESSIVES to WAKE UP to the danger presented here which has POISONED the HOPE and CHANGE climate of Jan 2009 ?


and Is it not possible for the different CENTER LEFT political groups or party to UNITE around 2-3 issues and forget their differences for the SAKE of VICTORY over the TEABAGGER ....phenomenon ??

My special invitation is to the GREEN Party who are the most important , yet UN-IMPORTANT because they can never win anything alone. so I suggest they stop , think and start discussion with the DNC and DFA and OFA to form a PROGRESSIVE COALITION.

As if it was possible to COMPARE the 2 Presidents without the CONTEXT : Different world , Different times.

HuffPost has forgotten that in a time when there is SO MUCH HATRED and CRITICISM leveled at OBAMA that in order to balance , the Left should show some LOVE for the President. This title almost MOCKS OBAMA instead of UNDERSTANDING,

1- May I remind Huffpost that America was the greatest INDUSTRIAL NAtion, in 2010 we are no longer that and the FINANCIAL Sector comprises over 40 % of the US economy.

2- FDR belonged to the RULING CLASS, and he could say that. OBAMA cannot say that because he had accepted CONTRIBUTION from WALL Street, due to the ridiculous Campaign FINANCE system.

3- " JOIN US ".............are you surprised ? have you forgotten Obama promised to be a UNITER?

WEll it is OUT now................the MERCY Panels was outed on the HUFFINGTON POST
after I read that keith Olbermaan's father had died and there was a post about that and many many beautiful comments expressing CONDOLENCES

I suddenly felt that I should give my idea about the MERCY PANELS which i wrote about here on march 3.

However I had forgotten the date and looked in my journal where it was entered on March 4, 2010.
(I guess i had not taken my idea too seriously to jot it down then.)

So anyway ...............I gifted it to OLBERMAAN because had he not followed PALIN 's DEATH Panels ..........with LIFE Panels .......................I may not have come up with >>>>>>>>>>> .... MERCY PANELS !

the FUTURE is with MERCY PANELS.......................way after the Health Care reform becomes LAW ........

and the people will realize that END OF LIFE COSTS are not SUSTAINABLE for ANY SOCIETY.....................UNLESS the person's family CARES and IS SUPER RICH to spend their own money and ...............NOT BE A BURDEN ON UNCLE SAM (taxpayer $$$)


GRANDMAs beware..................if your own kids do not want to keep you...........why should the TAXPAYERS ?? and POOR UNCLE SAM ?

i am writing this last line about grandma with such pleasure that you cannot even imagine.
shall I tell you why ?

well just after the ISSUE of DEATH Panel was raised by PALIN, i sat wondering why would anyone be against that.
It seemed to me so NATURAL that people did not want to SUFFER.....a ridiculous life.

BUT the question that came to my mind again and again was that HOW was it that GRANDMA's who claim they do not want to leave GOV DEBT for their Gandkids.......................would by their very end of life costs leave BOTH THE GOV more in DEBT and their own FAMILY in a horrible moral and financial situation .

so my advice to GRANDma and GRAND pa's it is better to leave the world and leave some fortune for your grandkids.

By the way,....was it not that several years ago that the LIVING WILLS actually were introduced to take care of the end of life decisions .
and Dr Kavorkian assisted suicide was accepted by millions while some regressive forces imprisonned the saviour ??

How could anyone be against progress. ?
amazing how some are afraid of progress..............the Talibans are a good example or rather a BAD example.
I can think of a good example...........................the AMISH. Ah i would have to just correct myself and say that the very good AMISH community might actually just be against CHANGE because they are satisfied with the way things are.

and as i write this perhaps the Talibans are also satisfied with what they have got ...............band that is why they do not like CHANGE , but perhaps the word progress just means change for them ??

No I have to change my assumption..................perhaps everybody likes ..... progress , but they do not like CHANGE !

but what is the opposite of PROGRESSIVISM ?

the reason I am asking this is that Liberalism is really NOT RELEVANT here any longer .

the movement that is rising after so many years of CONSERVATISM is the PROGRESSIVE movement.

so again what WORD would be the opposite of PROGRESSIVISM ??

the only one that comes to mind is REGRESSIVISM ?

I always must and have tried to say REPUBLICAN LEADERS or easier The GOP or
the GOP LEADERS.

the PARTY MEMBERs and rank and file may be regular citizens just like you and me.
I should not therefore use the word ....... The Republicans means them but when we say THE GOP or GOP leaders or Republican LEADERS that means those who design the politics and tactics.....etc

way back before the DEMS had won in 2008 , ( although I am not a registered democrat but an unaffuliated independent since 2004) , I hoped that the Democratic party would get a VETO PROOF ( supermajority )..................the REASON was that :

AMERICA has many problems and with a DIVIDED GOVERNMENT ie ( neither Rep or Dem having all 3 branches of the GOV )...................WE WOULD HAVE GRIDLOCK and we could NOT SOLVE OUR PROBLEMS.

SO we got lucky and the DEMS got all 3 branches and a supermajority ..................BUT WHAT I DID NOT KNOW was that the DEMOCRATS are a DIVIDED PARTY.

I did not know then , that the SENATE had some odd rule that would allow ONE SINGLE SENATOR .,.....to become A DICTATOR with the threat of a fillibuster, or otherwise.

AS DANIEL SCHORR of NPR said it so well after LIEBERMANN stopped the expansion of Medicare for 55 year olds..............

THIS IS THE TYRANNY OF THE .....MINORITY !!!!

remember how the right wingers thought DEMOCRACY was the TYRANNY of the MAJORITY ???
i would go further and say that it is really the Dictatorship of the minority or even worse the DICTATORSHIP of ONE SENATOR !!

IMPORTANT NOTE :

since the Democratic party is a so called BIG TENT that comprises moderates right wingers and left wingers .................they are already DIVIDED and we actually have A DIVIDED GOVERNMENT ....................then we do not have to create check and balance by having another party named Republican party which DOES NOT BELIEVE in Government anyway............so there is no place for them in the FEDERAL GOV.

America has problems , these problems need to be solved....ie

AMERICA needs SOLUTIONS..............................so can a PARTY which Believes the GOVERNMENT is the PROBLEM and NOT the SOLUTION even have any RIGHT to want to CAPTURE Government ????

my advice to the GOP.............cool down, let those who believe in GOVERNING do the heavy lifting.

I do not remember if I have already written this .....................i should have because it is a real belief

The studies needed in order to find out HOW MANY DEMOCRATS did NOT VOTE because of winter and laziness about a special election etc...
I heard that 800,000 people who had voted for OBAMA did not come out to VOTE this time and only 50,000 DEMS voted for Brown.

I have a feeling that after the numbers are studied..............it will show that WE COULD HAVE WON ..............just like in Virginia DEMS got lazy or mad.

I hope that the DNC works harder at mobilizing people.

the LEGISLATIVE Congess and Senate ie 535 representatives and as you know the popularity rating is the lowest. 9 % i heard last ??

so what to think ?
You probably have also heard that people do not like CONGRESS BUT when they are asked about their own representatives they are satisfied........that IS WHY they RE-ELECT them !!
